Joey graduated from Winder-Barrow High School and continued his cheerleading journey for five years at Columbus State University, consistently achieving top-five rankings each year. In his final year of college, he was honored with the Rebecca “Granny” Davis Award, recognizing him as the cheerleader of the year. Additionally, Joey dedicated two years to high school cheerleading and All-Stars, where he secured numerous regional and national titles. Over the span of twenty-two years, he has passionately coached cheerleading and tumbling, leading teams to an impressive tally of over fifty regional, state, and national titles. Joey’s commitment to safety and excellence is evident through his certifications from the United Cheerleading Instructor and Safety Certification program, as well as his qualification as an Emergency First Responder in first aid and CPR.
